Eleanor Houghton is a dress historian who is currently working with the Brontë clothing collection. These four images were created as part of her current research into Charlotte Brontë's wardrobe. Drawing is an essential part of her work, for it forces her to look ever more closely at the garments in question and in so doing, to uncover their many fascinating secrets.
